Will Mitchell is a musician and electonic instrument designer based in the midwestern United States.
Soundsketch is a modular sound synthesizer designed for experiential learning in collaboration with AFRORACK. I designed and built the first physical iteration of their concept, and I am leading the effort to facilitate production of units for an experimental curriculum. My ultimate goal is for future iterations of the sytem to be designed by students who, like me, are inspired by synthesis and find passion and empowerment in STEM.
Via is an embedded computing platform and family of eurorack modules created by myself and Jason Nanna. The project motivated the founding of Starling to support our future collaborative experimentation.
I contributed some DSP code to pippi, a python library for composition and synthesis, and I enjoy following the development of that project.
